Easter in 2008 is celebrated on March 23rd. The other important days of Holy Week are:
Palm Sunday - Jesus enters Jerusalem.
Maundy Thursday - The Last Supper and betrayal.
Good Friday - The arrest, trial, crucifixion, death and burial of Jesus.
Easter Sunday - The day Jesus rose from the grave.

What Is Easter?
Has Easter become a commercial holiday?  The stores are filled with easter candy, toys and flowers.  It seems as though the Easter Bunny and the Easter Egg have become the symbols for Easter.  If you ask a young child what is Easter chances are you will be told it’s...........the Easter Bunny!
Is it time to go back to traditional Easter values where the meaning of Easter is a religious one?  Maybe we should examine our thoughts on life and realize that the church or religion would make our lives a little fully and a little richer.
The story of how God gave up his only son and let him die on the cross in order to save souls is a story which should be remembered especially at this important time of the year.
If you would like to read the events that led up to Easter Sunday they can be found in four of the gospels in the King’s James Bible.  John’s Gospel gives a bit more detail than the other three gospels so the sections are listed separately.
